Museum of Ice Cream is all about celebrating everything that brings us joy, and parties are one of our favourite occasions! If you’re looking to have an extra special ice cream birthday party at MOIC, here’s everything you need to know about scooping the sweetest party ever with us.

THE EASIEST WAY TO BOOK YOUR PARTY

There are a few ways you can arrange to enjoy a birthday celebration in the museum. The simplest way would be to just purchase tickets for all the party people that you’re inviting and go in together. As this option is not part of any events package, your party will be enjoying the regular museum experience along with other guests, which includes an interactive journey through imaginative installations and endless play time, as well as free-flow ice cream at five different dessert stations throughout the museum. We encourage holding children’s birthdays during the museum’s Daytime Experience, which runs from 10am to 6pm, as this would offer the greatest freedom for movement in the experience.

If you would like to arrange for a dedicated space in which cake-cutting and mingling can take place, you can reach out to our team to facilitate the following packages for personal events like birthdays and private celebrations.

CAN I BOOK AN AREA FOR CAKE CUTTING IN THE MUSEUM?

If you are looking for a space for the party to gather and enjoy cake-cutting, consider reserving tables at the alfresco MOIC Cafe & Bar, located just behind the museum entrance. To secure the tables, a pre-paid minimum spend is required. This prepayment will translate into credits that can be used to redeem beverages at the bar for your party guests, which are non-refundable. Cafe book out packages are also available on request for private use of the MOIC Cafe & Bar; this way, you don’t need to share the space!

Every table can seat 5 to 6 guests, so we recommend reserving the number of tables that best accommodates your party size.

CAN THE MUSEUM CATER SAVOURY FOOD FOR MY PARTY?

MOIC has partnered with a selection of catering services and food partners that include halal-certified meals. If preferred, you can also source for your own catering service, however you will need to sign a waiver of food liability.

CAN I ARRANGE FOR BIRTHDAY DECORATIONS DURING OUR PARTY?

MOIC does not provide party decor nor the set-up of decorations, however you are welcome to bring your own. If you plan to have decorations during your birthday party, let us know ahead of time what you intend to set-up and when you would like to set-up prior to your party.

Please note that the only payment methods accepted in MOIC are cashless transactions, such Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay and JCB. This applies to our ticketing platform, the MOIC gift shop as well as the Alfresco Café & Bar. Tickets must be purchased prior to your arrival at MOIC, so we definitely recommend booking your time slot in advance!

You will need to have your credit card details on hand, as well as the card-registered mobile phone to receive an OTP number for payment.

STEP 1: VISIT THE MOIC TICKETING SITE

Start by visiting museumoficecream.com on your desktop or mobile browser. If you’re trying to book tickets outside the museum, connect to the free ‘MOIC Guest’ Wi-Fi service that is available on the museum premises.

Select the drop-down menu at the top right-hand corner of the web page. Under the ‘RESERVE TICKETS’ menu, select ‘SINGAPORE’ to bring you to MOIC Singapore’s ticketing page.

STEP 2: SELECT YOUR EXPERIENCE

Guests have the opportunity to select tickets for either the Daytime Experience or Night at the Museum Experience. Our Daytime Experience opens at 10am and closes its last slot at 5:30pm. Entry for the Night at the Museum Experience starts at 6pm and closes the last entry slot at 8pm.

If you’re coming with kids, we encourage coming for the free and easy Daytime Experience! For couples and groups of adult friends, we recommend coming for the night experience, which involves a free welcome cocktail (or mocktail) and bonding activities to complete for a free prize.

Special events such as the Sundae School ice cream making class and other seasonal activities will also be made available for sale on this page, so keep your eyes peeled for new treats!

STEP 3: SELECT YOUR GROUP SIZE

Choose between booking a single ticket, a group of 2 or 3, or a group of 4 or more. Our ticket prices vary according to the group size, so we recommend booking together if you’re planning to come in a group of 2 or more!

STEP 4: FILL IN YOUR TICKET DETAILS

This next page will require you to input your ticket details. Please fill in:

• Number of tickets
• Your desired date of visit
• Your desired time slot

The drop-down menu for selecting your time slot will also display the number of tickets that are available for sale. If the slot displays ‘SOLD OUT’, that time slot is no longer available for booking.

STEP 5: CHECK YOUR TICKET BOOKING AND SELECT ADD-ONS

This next page will display the ticket details that you have selected, so please check that the number of tickets selected and the visit date and time slot are correct! If you happen to have any promo codes for use in your ticket purchase, you can apply them here.

We understand that days out can be hectic, so this page also offers the chance to add-on retail and food & beverage items to keep your experience easy-freezey! This includes promotions that are exclusively available online, so don’t forget to take your pick of super sweet savings.

STEP 6: FILL IN YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS

We need some personal details to furnish you with the tickets as well as facilitate payment for your orders. Please ensure that you fill in your correct email address, as your tickets will be sent to this address! Once you’re ready to proceed with payment, scroll to the bottom of the page and press ‘Checkout’.

STEP 7: SUBMIT YOUR CREDIT CARD DETAILS

Upon clicking ‘Checkout’ you will be redirected to a payment portal. After filling in your credit card details, the payment portal will prompt you to input the OTP number sent to the mobile number registered to your credit card via SMS, so have your phone ready!

STEP 8: CHECK YOUR TICKETS

After your transaction has been completed, we highly encourage checking your tickets! You can either download the tickets through the web page after you have made payment, or you can simply check your registered email for the tickets!

Cone-gratulations, you’re all set for an exciting day of unlimited ice cream and adventure! Upon arrival at MOIC, open the PDF file attached to the email with your tickets and present this to our MOIC guides at the entrance.
